Jay began enjoying the experience of nature and photography at a young age by assisting his father, Richard Hydren, on environmental photography assignments. This has evolved into a lifelong passion for adventuring into nature with a particular focus on visiting visually inspiring locations in rhythm with the cycle of the seasons and weather patterns.

Combining this with using the best fine art printing services available, allows him to bring these touching locations to inspire you throughout your daily life.

Today, Jay enjoys exploring his local Wasatch Mountain Range and has developed truly inspiring series of photos titled: “Our Wasatch is Beautiful.” 

In a parallel project, by visiting iconic and lesser-known landscapes across our country he is compiling a second series of photos titled: “America the Beautiful.” 

These projects are part of his artist mission: to build compassion, pride, and a sense of belonging to the landscapes we call home.
