Several years ago I received a call from the head librarian here in Rowley with an offer to display as many images as I could fit in the Library's Art Gallery. The subject matter was my choice. Delighted with the offer I framed up about 18 B&W Spark images and installed them in the gallery.
About a week later I stopped by to see if anyone had noticed the portraits and was told by the librarians that they had never witness so many people visiting the library with no other purpose than to view the art in the gallery.
During the remaining time of the show people stopped me in the supermarket, at the post office, in the coffee shop and the pharmacy to say how much they enjoyed my art in the library.
During the winter months we invite anyone interested in experiencing a traditional B&W studio portrait session to give us a call or drop us a note. There is no session fee for an invitational session in a personal project. And in appreciation for the opportunity to practice my craft we offer a $250 gift certificate to each family. The credit maybe used toward purchases of art from their session.
If you enjoy the art we create in our B&W Spark but you are not comfortable being photographed that's OK. My little secret is I have never liked being photographed either. But the Spark is not about how you look, it's about your Spark! And when we work together in the studio with the aim of capturing your Spark, well, it can be inspiring.
For those interested, the process is very simple. After reaching out to us we will set up a time to plan your session and talk about the clothes that work best in this style of B&W portraiture. The session time will be set for our studio which is on the access road into Rowley Market Basket Plaza. We are in the second floor over the Royal Orchard. Just look for my banners in the windows.
