Classic Model Trains Reading Railroad Set

Handcrafted in Brass & Steel for the Serious Collector

Lot CMTP05

Built by Classic Model Trains of Hartford, Ohio, this Reading Railroad passenger set is a rare example of high-fidelity craftsmanship in O scale. Each piece—locomotive, tender, and three named passenger cars (“Clara Barton,” “Woodbouren,” and “Bound Brook”)—is constructed with cold rolled steel, brass, and stainless steel for unmatched durability and detail.

The #675 steam locomotive features precisely machined drive rods, authentic paintwork, and a robust metal frame. Each coach displays finely crafted clerestory roofs, arched windows, and scale-accurate proportions. These were never mass-produced—Classic Model Trains was known for short-run, hand-assembled collector editions, built to last generations.

Sets of this caliber are rarely offered for sale.
